Vehicle exhaust contains many harmful compounds like carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides. To reduce emission of the harmful gases into the environment  and as well to reduce fuel consumption  catalytic converters are fitted into vehicles to the exhaust gas system.

Not only do the autocatalysts provide a cleaner exhaust gas release but also contain valuable metals such as platinum, palladium and rhodium, which support conversions processes and moreover,  can be recycled from this part.

Spent autocatalysts must be desmantled in the safety manner and in the way  that respect environmental regulations and laws implemented by the governments, in order to prevent further pollution and improve recycling rate worldwide.

Electronic waste (e-waste) may be defined as discarded computers, office electronic equipment, entertainment device electronics, mobile phones, television sets, and refrigerators. Due to the rapidly growing technology and developing industry the amount of e-waste raises day by day. Following United Nation Report December 2017 : All the countries in the world combined generated a staggering 44.7 million metric tonnes (Mt), or an equivalent of 6.1 kilogram per inhabitant (kg/inh), of e-waste annually in 2016, compared to the 5.8 kg/inh generated in 2014.
